One of my favorite songs … and I have always liked Andy Williams, we stayed on the same hotel in Monaco in August 1972. We had a couple of chats by the pool and in the café. A very short and funny man. Didn’t know that he died this week. Wonderful voice.
Yes, he were a very charming and funny man. We both stayed at Plaza Beach Hotel in Monte Carlo. He had just been in Sweden and I was at his concert in Gothenburg. That was how we came to talk .. he heard my accent. He was there for the annual Red Cross The Rose Ball – in those days it was in August now I think it’s moved to the spring – Grace Kelly was the patron for the charity ball.
