I can remember when I was just old enough to be walking good , my daddy worked at the roller skating rink. I learned then and there to skate to this song. Every time I hear of it, I smile and get all teary eyed, as this was my daddy’s favorite song. I love you daddy, God tell him hello for me, and I shall see him one day soon.

This is the last song my real mother played for me as we parted ways in our lives, her not wanting me, and me wanting her to love me. She passed away in 2006.  Goodbye to a child’s dreams. She and I had different meanings to this song, a real tug of war relationship, that ended very quickly.
